Bongfish had been working with Wargaming since 2015 as a distributed development team on World of Tanks, building prototypes for game modes for World of Tanks. After building trust executing with Wargaming, Bongfish was tapped to work on a new game mode called Frontline.
Frontline introduced new and exciting gameplay with massive tank battles (30 vs 30) on large maps with a unique playstyle of attack and defense and the introduction of respawning and special spots for unique abilities to repair and replenish your tank.
Although Bongfish still worked closely with the WOT team, the production was almost entirely by Bongfish in terms of design and development.
